Meet the Founder of Girl Scouts of the USA

Geneva History Center presents a first-person portrayal of Juliette Gordon Lowe, the founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts of the USA at the Geneva History Center in a special event, Daisy’s Girls: Camping with Juliette Gordon Low at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4. Meet Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA, in a first-person portrayal adapted and performed by actress Betsey Means and directed by Eileen Vorbach of Chicago’s WomanLore

Learn about her early life and forming the organization that impacted the lives of thousands of girls for generations. Admission is $10/adult, $5/GHC Members and students. Space is limited. Register online at www.genevahistorycenter.org or call 630-232-4951.

The program is in conjunction with Girl Scout Century, a new exhibition at Geneva History Center that will run through June 23. Discover highlights from girl scouting’s history as well as view rare artifacts and collections of images presented with the help of Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois and volunteers.
