Last Day to Vote for Giving Trees

Last chance to vote for your favorite tree at the Geneva History Center or online today until 4 p.m.

The Geneva History Center displayed fifteen Christmas trees decorated by various nonprofit groups that serve the Geneva area during the holiday season.

Each tree is decorated in accordance with each organization's mission and areas of service.  Today is the last day (until 4 p.m.) to vote for your favorite tree with dollars at the Geneva History Center or online at  genevahistorycenter.org.

The winning organization will keep 100 percent of the funds pledged to support their tree.  The remaining organizations will split their winnings with the Geneva History Center.  The winner will be announced on Friday, December 28 at 4 p.m. at a press conference at the Geneva History Center, 113 South Third Street, Geneva, Illinois.

The organizations include:  American Cancer Society, Ecker Center for Mental Health, Finally Home Holistic Recovery and Adoption, Fox Valley Troop Support, Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice, Geneva Academic Foundation, Geneva Park District, Girl Scouts of the USA Geneva Service Unit, The Greater Geneva Art Guild, Kiwanis Club of Geneva, Marklund, Mothers Club of Geneva, The National Alliance on Mental Illness DeKalb, Kane-South, & Kendall Counties, Inc. (NAMI DKK),  Tri-City Family Services, and VNA Health Care.

We are proud to partner with the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission again this year.  Their group of judges visited the trees on Saturday and they will present their first choice $75, second choice $25 and an honorable mention at Friday's press conference.
