Kids Mural Painting Workshop This Wednesday

Kids Mural Workshop this Wednesday with the Geneva History Center and The Art Box.

There are just a few spots left for the Geneva History Center "Create Your Own Mural and Tell your Story of Geneva!" kids program this Wednesday, July 25.  The Geneva Art Box will join us for a hands-on art workshop to create a mixed-media mural incorporating images of Geneva that will be on display at the History Center thru October.

Kids meet here at the Geneva History Center to learn about Regionalism and the influences that are reflected in the style of Thomas Hart Benton, Grant Wood, and John Steuart Curry on display in the History Centerʼs exhibition A Celebration of Rural America as well as visit the Post Office mural, Fish Fry in the Park by Manuel Bromberg. Children are encouraged to bring a snack for the short walking tour of Genevaʼs historic downtown.

Supplies provided by Art Box, an arts supply store, serving students, teachers, hobbyist, beginners, and the professional artist community. Classes feature instruction in multiple mediums and subject matters.
