Geneva History Center Community Photo Contest Winners

The Geneva History Center announced the winners of the first annual Community Photo Contest on Thursday evening. The winning photos along with selected submissions are on display in the gallery lobby until Nov. 5.

Alexia Monaco and Tim Vetang, from the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission, made presentations to the winners.

First Place $100: Georgia Schwender, "Fog & Yellow Iris"

Second Place $50: Avie Churchwell, "Untitled #8"

Third Place $25: Dennis Walz, "Park Bench"

More than 40 photographs were entered in the contest, which was sponsored by the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission and Sudden Values. Entries were to be images of Geneva—people, places or anything Geneva—and were judged by professional photographers.

Start taking photos now and throughout the year to enter the 2012 Community Photo Contest next summer.
