Enter the 2nd Annual Community Photo Contest
Get your camera out next time you are out around Geneva and submit your "Geneva" image for the Geneva History Center's 2nd Annual Community Photo Contest. Deadline June 1st.
The Geneva History Center is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Community Photo Contest to capture unique images of the community and the essence of life in Geneva.
The photographs should highlight Geneva in a way that represent the history, community and sense of place that makes it a great place to live. The images must be taken within Geneva, Illinois city limits. Photographs can be of a person, place or thing and must be original and taken by the applicant.
A jury comprised of professional photographers will evaluate all eligible submissions received by the deadline.
A total of 25 photographs will be selected for display in the Geneva History Center's Museum Lobby from June 14 through Nov. 1, 2012.
The contest is sponsored in part by the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission and Fox Valley Sudden Values. Cash prizes include: First place $150, second place $100, third place $50. Entry deadline is 4 p.m. on June 1, 2012.
