Swedish Days 2012: Highlights for Tuesday, June 19

A Swedish Cinema, ice-cream-eating contest and Mike & Joe among the day's fun at the 63rd annual Swedish Days!

It wouldn’t be summer in Geneva without the “Granddaddy of Illinois Festivals,” ’s 63rd Annual Swedish Days, presented by Cadence Health.

June 19 kicks off this six-day festival that continues through June 24.

Highlights of June 19:

  • Food booths open all day!
  • Creation Station (Courthouse Lawn) opens 10 a.m. 
  • Swedish Cinema ön State (524 W. State St) has children’s movie at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • "Concerts on the Lawn" with Ellus Bellus at 1 p.m.
  • Quad Power Jump and Carnival open at 2 p.m. 
  • Ice Cream Eating Contest on Central Stage 6 p.m. 
  • Mike & Joe takes Central Stage at 7:30 p.m.
