Report: Anna Li of Aurora Injured, Pulled From U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Competition
Neck injury takes our area's closest representative off the U.S. Olympic team.
Your heart has to go out to Anna Li and her family.
The Aurora native was a gymnastics alternate in the London Games. She fell while practicing on the uneven bars, suffered a neck injury, and doctors have advised her to stop practicing.

Li, 23, has a lot of local connections, including working out at a Naperville gym.
According to the Tribune, she was older and heavier than her gymnastics counterparts, but dazzled judges in Santa Fe. She competed in the uneven bars and the balance beam.
