Garbage Collection, Street Paving Starts Early Thursday, Due to Heat

The city of Geneva is taking precautions against the extreme heat expected Thursday, so get your garbage out early if it's your usual pickup day, and don't be surprised if some road-construction work wakes you up.

City of Geneva and refuse crews will begin work at 6 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, June 28) due to the .

Residents and businesses should expect city Public Works and refuse pickup workers out and about, maybe making enough noise to wake you up, if you're not an early riser. The work involves refuse pickup and all city-related projects, including street repaving and downtown sidewalk paver repair work. 

Most crews should be finished with their work for the day by 2:30 p.m. 

Residents should make sure their refuse is out at the curb prior to 6 a.m. Thursday morning.

Residents & Businesses Should Expect City Public Works and 
Refuse Pick-up Crews Out Early June 28th to Beat the Heat 
Due to the forecasted "Heat Advisory" and expected high temperatures on Thursday, June 28th, city residents and businesses can expect to see work crews out beginning at 6:00am. This includes refuse pickup and all city-related public works projects including street repaving and downtown sidewalk paver repair work. 

Most crews should be finished with their work for the day by 2:30pm. 

Residents should make sure their refuse is out at the curb prior to 6am tomorrow morning.
