Enter Our Father-Son Look-Alike Photo 'Contest'!

Father's Day is fast approaching (Sunday, June 17), and Patch has come up with an idea to make this 2012 version one you'll remember—just for the sheer fun of it.

Are you a chip off the old block? Does your offspring have a spring in his step that's very much like your own?

If so, attach your picture here.

We know a lot of dads with sons who look just like them. We're seeking that uncanny resemblance, that theme Halloween costume you guys shared, that father-son moment that shows your special, manly bond.

If we get enough entries, we'll let Patch readers vote for their favorites. If we don't, we'll just enjoy sharing the love. Attach a photo here, or if it's easier, send it by e-mail to rickn@patch.com and we'll post it for you.

We put "contest" in the headline, but it's really just a friendly competition. There's no fabulous prize giveaway—nothing to buy and no strings attached. As I said before, we're doing this for the fun of it.

So ....

Are you the All-Father Odin to a young Thor? Do you both look like Captain America when you dress in star-spangled garb? Can I sneak the name of another Avengers character into this sentence to exploit Patch's outstanding search-engine optimization?

Probably not.

But I can offer some Patch swag for a few of the lucky participants.
