Volleyball Team Takes 2nd at Glenbard West Invite
Geneva will play their third conference match on their home court against St. Charles North on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The Geneva Vikings volleyball team went 4-1 and took second place this weekend at the Glenbard West Invitational.
The Vikings defeated Rockford Guilford, then Glenbard South in a close, three-set match on Friday. They beat Lake Park and Fremd Saturday in straight sets. With four wins under their belt, Geneva met back up with Glenbard South in the championship contest, and South got revenge in an exciting, three-set match, nipping the Vikings 25-20, 24-26, 32-30.
Grace Loberg played tough all weekend, gaining 40 kills, and Ally Barrett followed with 24 kills. Hannah Lanasa was right behind Barrett, totally 23 kills
for the Vikings. Maddie Courter and Taylor Marmitt each totaled 12 blocks each and Courtney Caruso had a successful weekend as she led the offense with 75 assists. Kelsey Wicinski took the responsibility for Geneva’s tremendous defense with a total of 92 digs.

Geneva's overall record is 13-5; 1-1 in the Upstate Eight Conference.
