Volleyball Team Rocks in 1st Regional Match
Vikings coast past South Elgin, improve season record to 27-9.
The Vikings won a tremendous match against South Elgin in the first round of regionals; continuing their season on to Thursday.
Taylor Marmitt came outswinging hard as she gained a total of 5 kills and contributed 4 blocks for the team. Hannah Buck and Jess Wicinski both led the team with 6 kills each, helping the Vikings keep the momentum.
Geneva dominated in game two as they started with a 10-4 lead against the Storm. Maddie Courter put up solid blocks gaining 6 for the Vikings and Kelly Dalheim backed up the blockers as she ended the match with 15 digs. Courtney Caruso ran a successful offense, leading with 10 assists, and Sammy Gola followed close behind with 9 assists for the match.

The Vikings will play against Batavia this Thursday, Oct. 23, for the second round of regionals.
