SOPHS: Geneva 27, Larkin 18
It might have been a walkaway win, but Larkin comes back to make it a game late in the third and early in the fourth quarter. Vikings end the season on a winning note with 5-4 record.
The sophomore Vikings blew away the Royals early, but Larkin made a comeback late in the third and early in the fourth to make a game of it.
In the end, Geneva takes the win 27-18 over Larkin, and finishes the season on a winning note with a record of 5-4.
The Vikings built a 27-12 lead in the third quarter on some Larkin miscues and the strength of two short touchdown runs by quarterback Dan Santacaterina and an 18-yard TD scamper by TJ Miller.

After another turnover, Santacaterina took it in from 4 yards for a 27-0 Viking lead with 2:56 left in the third.
But on the kickoff, Larkin's Damion Clemons returned the kickoff and cut the lead to 27-6. With time running out in the third, Jarelle Shippe ran 42 yards to cut the lead to 27-12.

The Vikings used some clock, but the Royals scored again with 4:46 left on a 65-yard pass play to make it 27-18. They missed on the 2-point conversion to keep the margin to two scores.
Geneva ran down the clock and took the win.
