Mayor Presents World Series Rings to Geneva Baseball 12U Team

Over the last three seasons, the Vikings have a combined record of 164 wins to only 33 losses.

Mayor Kevin Burns presented the BPA World Series rings Monday night to the GBA 12U baseball team that won the World Series this summer.

Burns made the presentation at Monday night's City Council meeting at City Hall. 

Over the last three seasons, the Vikings have a combined record of 164 wins to only 33 losses. During this time, the teams accomplishments include"

  • Ranked #1 in the state if Illinois, 
  • Ranked 23rd nationally, 
  • Finished first or second place 14 times out of 21 tournaments, 
  • Finished first in the Kane County Bronco League three years in a row.
This year, the Vikings capped off their season with a World Series victory with 
the BPA in Battle Creek, MI.

The 12-and-under team is comprised of Geneva players from both Geneva Middle School North and Geneva Middle School South.
