Girls Volleyball Update: Geneva Goes 13-6 With a Comeback Victory Against Kaneland
Vikings continue to improve as the season progresses. Volley for a Cure match goes to Geneva in come-from-behind win.
The Geneva gym was flooded with pink during the Volley for the Cure match against Kaneland.
From the beginning of the match, the Vikings had put up asolid block in which Kaneland could not hit past. Maddie Courter put a stop tothe Knights offense gaining 8 blocks for the Vikings. Taylor Marmitt followed with a total of 6 blocks.
All together, Geneva totaled 26 blocks as a team against Kaneland.

The match was filled with long volleys as the teams went back and forth fighting for their points. In game three, Geneva was down by 7 points and came back with the help of Kelly Dalheim to tie it up 21-21. Dalheim had 27 digs against the Knights as Jess Wicinski led the team with 10 kills.
The Vikings play today, Sept. 27, against Bartlett.
