Geneva's Winning Streak Comes to an End

Larkin upset Geneva Monday night with a 4-2 win over the Vikings.

The Geneva soccer team's five-game winning streak came to an end Monday night as they were defeated by Larkin 4-2. The odds pointed in Geneva's favor, but Larkin surprised them by stringing together four goals and stopping the Vikings' usually reliable offense.

Geneva, now 8-7-1 with a 2-2 conference record, could not stop Larkin's Santana Jimenez, who scored two of the four goals for Larkin.

"We did not come ready to play," said head Coach Ryan Estabrook. "You can never expect to have your way with a team, which is the attitude we had going into the game."
