Geneva Volleyball Team Beats Batavia, Wins Regionals

After a grueling match, the Vikings beat Batavia in three and win regionals!

Game one was intense as the momentum went back and forth between the teams. Geneva’s solid blocks helped take control of the game and bring them to victory. Maddie Courter led the team with 7 blocks and Jess Wicinski followed close behind with 6 blocks.

In game two, the Bulldogs came out fired up and led 3-9. However, the Vikings fought back with tough swings and gained the momentumas they took off running into game three.

Geneva stepped up as Kelly Dalheim covered the floor with 25 digs against the Bulldogs and Hannah Buck picked up 15 digs. J.Wicinski led the team with 10 kills while Buck contributed a total of 9 kills.

Geneva will play St. Charles East in Sectionals on Tuesday, Oct. 30,
