They can bump, kick and pass with the best of them.

As the 2014 soccer season gets underway, the Chicago Sun-Times has ranked the top 20 area girls' high school soccer teams — as well as individuals — to watch for this spring, according to High School Cube News.

The Geneva High School girls soccer team made the list, coming in at No. 19, as the article noted "Coach Megan Owens has 15 returning players and eight starters back from a sectional finalist." Geneva Senior Annie Waldoch also made the list as one of the top defenders to watch this spring, according to High School Cube News.

The top five teams on the list include: Buffalo Grove (No. 1), Waubonsie Valley (No. 2), Naperville North (No. 3), Barrington (No. 4), and Neuqua Valley (No. 5).
