The Geneva Vikings and St. Charles East Saints renewed their neighborly rivalry in ernest Friday night at Burgess Field.

It was a hard-hitting, emotional game with three lead changes and erratic momentum swings.

Here are some miscellaneous game notes.

Quotable

Joe Cella, No. 33, running back: "We're a good fourth quarter team, we always have been. Everyone worked as a team, everyone did their part, and when everyone does their part, good things happen."

Geneva Coach Rob Wicinski: "Nice job for Coach Fields. He was kind of behind the eight ball with some injuries, so ... somebody taught him well."

St. Charles Coach Mike Fields on the emotion of coming back to coach at Burgess Field, where he was an assistant coach for Rob Wicinski: "There wasn't any bearing on it, honestly. I'm in St. Charles now, and I bleed orange and black."
