In terms of playoff position, perhaps the only thing that was lost last week was a chance to host a second playoff game, should the Vikings make it that far.
A 6-3 record probably would make the playoffs but take away a chance at homefield advantage in the first game. Plus, Geneva likely would be pitted against a higher-ranked opponent in the first round.
A 7-2 recond has a much better shot at home-field advantage and position in the brackets.
