Ride the Waves this Friday at Peaceful Parlour on a Balance Board
Liz Kantorski, artist and owner, of Balance Boards & Beams is bringing her unique collection of balance boards, beams and blocks to Peaceful Parlour on Friday, July 8th from 10am to 2pm and on Sunday, July 24th from 10am to 2pm.
On a balance board it can feel like you are riding on a wave. As you rock back and forth, you create a wave and your body moves with it, stretching and strengthening muscles along the way. In an intricate play with gravity, your brain and body communicate and must work together to stay balanced. It can be soothing or stimulating. Liz believes the essence of what makes the boards so beneficial is that you are moving from the center of your body, your core, the point where your energies cross and flow.
Liz will bring a large sampling of her boards and her unique collection of balance beams, blocks and her new sideways rocking chair to Peaceful Parlour, 212 S. 3rd Street, on Friday, July 8th, from 10 a.m. - 2p.m. Come experience the boards, ride the waves and find the right one for you!
