Fox Valley Marathon

This is the inaugural year for the Fox Valley Marathon, which is a qualifying event for the Boston Marathon. The event is hosted by Dick Pond Athletics and has several local sponsors.

The event features a marathon, half marathon and Fall Final 20 runs. The race begins and end in St. Charles, but runners travel through Geneva on the way to Aurora and back.

There will be aides and water stations every mile and easy spectator access in Geneva and other communities.

For runners and spectators, the course will be a scenic gem. "With a unique riverside finish you'll see and hear the excitement of the crowds for the last mile of the course to pull you through to your best finish ever," the website says.
