Business Openings: Bright Beginnings Children’s Day Out

Faith Baptist Church in Geneva is starting a new "day out" program that is aimed at providing faith-based curriculum as well as preschool services.

A ribbon cutting for the new child-care center is set for 9 a.m. Nov. 7 at 1-S-455 S. Mill Creek Drive in Geneva, according to the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

According to its website, the program is offered to pre-kindergarten children aged 15 months (and walking) through 5 years old. The program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each child can attend one or both days.     

Bright Beginnings consists of four classrooms that comply with the state guidelines concerning ratio of staff to children. Each classroom will include two co-teachers and be divided as follows:                

  • Toddlers (15-23 months) 
  • 2 year-olds
  • 3 year-olds
  • 4/5 year-olds combined.
Kane County Chronicle article says the new program started Sept. 3. Batavia resident Kim Jacobsen is the director.

"This is an exciting time for us! As one of the newest Children's Day Out programs in the Fox Valley area, we are ready to embark on a wonderful journey this fall and we are inviting your family to join us," Jacobsen says in an introduction on the website.
