Correction: Windows NOT Broken Twice at Heartland Elementary School

Two reports were filed in the Geneva police blotter but there was only one incident.

The case of windows broken at Heartland Elementary School was a one-time occurrence, Geneva police said this week.

In a previous report, police said someone broke four windows on the north side of the school at 3300 Heartland Drive, sometime between May 7 and 6 May 8. Three windows—measuring 52 inches by 18 inches—appeared to have been struck by a rock.

A second police report said three windows were broken at the school sometime between 5 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. May 14, but Heartland Principal Adam Law contacted Geneva Patch to say that was not the case.

Geneva police Cmdr. Julie Nash confirmed that there were overlapping reports and only one incident.
