Wanted: Misty Watercolored Memories ... of the Class of 2011

Attention Class of 2011, and parents: Photos are needed for the senior video. Submit them now.

Ahhhh, memories. As teens graduate from high school, images of past fun gain even greater importance as the young people enjoy laughs and tears, remembering the way they were.

One way for Geneva High School seniors to turn back the hands of time to various events of their school years is with the senior video. It’s distributed at Senior Breakfast, held the same day as graduation rehearsal, and it’s chock full of days gone by.

Fifth-grade outdoor ed trip? Check. Seventh-grade Patriots Day. Check. Grandparents’ Day, and sports days, and all the other moments—dances, sporting events, hanging around, from the first day of kindergarten to the senior prom—that make up those 13 school years are probably there.

To make this trip down memory lane possible, however, requires help. Obviously, it needs pictures—lots and lots of pictures.

Parents and the students themselves typically send these in. For this year, the GHS senior class officers have set up an e-mail account to which the photos can be sent.

Photos should be of the time period of grade school (the fall of 1998, for this senior class) to the present, that include members of the GHS Class of 2011.

Please note that many photos posted on Facebook are not of high enough resolution and come out grainy.

The deadline for photos is Friday, March 25, which is the Friday Spring Break begins.

Send photos to GenevaClassof2011@gmail.com.

You or your senior will be glad you did. It’s a wonderful memento of the school years. Cue Barbra Streisand and The Way We Were ...
