Two New Ways for Geneva High School Seniors to Celebrate Upcoming Graduation

On May 13, seniors are encouraged to wear shirts celebrating where they're going next year—and enjoy a breakfast along the way.

has added a new event for seniors, beginning with the Class of 2011.

On Friday, May 13, seniors are encouraged to wear T-shirts or sweatshirts indicating their plans for next year, be it the college they plan to attend, military branch they will join, technical or vocational school they will attend, or their intended career choice.

The Guidance Department and GHS administration will host a breakfast for seniors beginning at 7:15 a.m. and running through first hour. Seniors in attendance will be excused from their first-hour class. After first hour, the seniors will parade down Viking Boulevard (the main hallway leading from the offices to the commons) and off to their second-hour class.

"Please hang the school flags, wear your colors proudly, and let your neighbors know that you've got a senior!" School Board President Mary Stith said in a 304 Connects announcement.
