Wet Snow Continues Wednesday; Some Events Rescheduled From Storm

A winter storm walloped the Tri-Cities on Tuesday. Here's a recap and what to expect for the rest of the week.

It wasn't exactly a blizzard, but Tuesday's snowstorm shut down events and plans all over Kane County.

Various news outlets reported a snowfall of 4.5 inches for the area. The storm climaxed in the afternoon, forcing the cancellation of many after-school activities and the early closure of public libraries in Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles.

The storm also forced 500 flight cancellations at Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway airports, where flights that were not canceled were delayed by as much as an hour.
