Mouse on Motorcycle Surprises Western Avenue Elementary Students
Ralph the mouse, the main character in Beverly Cleary's "The Mouse and the Motorcycle," made a special appearance at Western Avenue Elementary School.

Students at Western Avenue Elementary School were shocked to find a special visitor in front of their school during a recent dismissal. Ralph the mouse, the main character from Beverly Cleary’s The Mouse and the Motorcycle, made a special appearance to celebrate the school’s completion of its One School, One Book project. The project encourages the entire school – students, parents, staff, even the principal – to read the same book over the course of three weeks to build a community of readers. The Western Avenue Elementary School PTO generously provided copies of The Mouse and the Motorcycle to each family for this April’s project.
