Schools

It's May—and the School Calendar is Packed

May's a busy month at schools across the country, and Geneva is no exception.

And it’s a busy month, as the schools, too, pick up the pace before the school year ends in June.

One has only to look at the “events” calendar on the Geneva School District website to see a month crammed with activities: Fifth-Grade Send-Offs, field trips, Sports Days, sporting events, concerts, volunteer appreciation events, meetings and Advanced Placement tests.

If you select all the schools, well, that calendar is crammed full of goodies.

For many, it’s also a month of change. By the end of this month, nearly 500 (what a big class!) young people will morph from to Geneva High School graduates. Hundreds of other Geneva parents will see their young-adult children graduate from college (breathing a sigh of relief that those tuition bills are a thing of the past), or matriculate from graduate, law or medical school.

Enjoy the month. There’s lots to embrace and savor.
