In Their Own Words: Meet School Board Candidate Mary Lynn Stith
Here is a brief autobiography of Mary Stith, one of six candidates vying for three seats on the Geneva School Board.
I am currently on the CUSD 304 Board of Education, having come to that position as a community volunteer. As my children would say, " I love school."
I am proud to have been a part of a team including fellow board members, the administration, staff, parents and community who have consistently supported success for all students, the results seen in improving academic measurements, an expanded focus on the social and emotional wellbeing of students, and creating school environments that enhance learning.
At the same time, I have been only one of many who have had to do this while focusing on being fiscally responsible to the citizens of this community who have been so supportive of the schools.
