Heat Continues to Take Out St. Charles Schools

The district cancelled classes for the three elementary schools and to dismissed the two middle schools early on Tuesday, as well as Wednesday.

Nearby St. Charles School District 303 students have another day off Wednesday, due to the heat.

St. Charles Community Unit School District 303, in a message posted on its website, announced Tuesday that Corron, Norton Creek and Wild Rose elementary schools will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, because of the day's forecast for high temperatures.

The district also said it again would dismiss students at Haines and Thompson middle schools at noon today, also as a result of the expected heat.
