Heartland Students: Want to Walk to School With the Mayor?
Meet at 7:40 a.m. at the locations mentioned in the article.
Hey, Heartland Elementary School students, want to walk to school Wednesday with Mayor Kevin Burns?
International Walk to School Day 2013 on Wednesday, Oct. 9, as Heartland and other Geneva schools promote healthy habits and a cleaner environment. Students can meet up with Heartland staff or da mayor and walk (or bike) to school with them.
The plan is to meet at 7:40 a.m. at the following locations:
1. Corner of Westhaven Circle and Heartland Drive (South side)
STAFF: Mrs. Morrison, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Berg
2. Corner of Westhaven Circle and Heartland Drive (North side)
STAFF: Mrs. Blaszynski, Mrs. Sheridan, Mrs. Villwock, Mrs. Forsythe
3. Border and bike path (South side)
STAFF: Mrs. Schooley
4. Corner of Adamson and Abbey (North side)
GUEST: Mayor Burns
5. Corner of Larrabee and Daniel’s Way (Kay Lovett Park)
STAFF: Mrs. Stark, Mrs. D. Moore
6. Corner of Husking Peg and Eleanor (North side)
STAFF: Mrs. Nippert, Mrs. Burns, Mrs. Fordonski
7. Greet families in front of the school.
STAFF: Dr. Ramsey, Mrs. Walker, Mr. Law
Please arrive to starting locations by 7:40 a.m. and we will start walking to Heartland School at 7:45 a.m. Thank you!
