Geneva Schools Make Adjustments for the Heat
Because of the temperature in the contest gym, the Activity Fair scheduled for Thursday at Geneva High School will be moved to the cafeteria.
Air-conditioning at Geneva schools means kids and faculty aren't dealing with the same issues as some other school districts.
But there are some small adjustments that have to be made for the heat this time of year, particularly for gym classes and events inside some of the contest gyms.
Because of the temperature in the contest gym, the Activity Fair scheduled for Thursday at Geneva High School will be moved to the cafeteria, a District 304 email message says.
PLC Study Hall will move to the Viking Commons for any student not attending the Activity Fair or for those students who have visited the Activity Fair and would like to study prior to first period. All freshmen are required to attend the Activity Fair and must have their ID scanned. Yearbooks will be distributed in the bump-out area of the cafeteria. Students will need to have a school ID in order to receive a yearbook.
