Kane County Chronicle explains the website posting that might have resulted in the YouTube takedown of the high-school-made video project.

's Footloose lip dub is no longer on the Kane County Chronicle website, but it isn't back on YouTube yet—at least as far as this editor could find.

"Mistakenly, below the student-produced video, there was a link to our company multimedia store, where readers can buy photos and videos created by Chronicle staff. ... The Geneva student-produced video was never for sale, and the Kane County Chronicle did not sell a single copy.

I called the high school this morning and talked with Assistant Superintendent Patty O'Niel, who said teachers and students at the high school had been trying to contact YouTube. But as of yet, "I don't know if they've been successful" in reaching an actual, live human being who might be able to help get the video in a place where folks can see it and enjoy it.
