Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley will hold a free tutor training workshop for residents who want to help adults read and speak English.
The four-session workshop will be held from 6:30pm to 9:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays July 9, 11, 16 and 18 at the St. Charles Public Library.
Once you are trained, you will be matched with one adult learner and meet for one hour each week at a time and public location that is convenient. You do not need to know a second language or have a teaching background to help. There are 50 adults waiting to learn.
