Geneva Library Foundation Book Fair Dec. 9 at Barnes & Noble

To raise funds for the and its learning programs, the Geneva Library Foundation (GLF) is partnering with Booksellers to host a book fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 9, at the 102 Commons Drive store in Geneva. Events will include a visit from Santa Claus, children’s story time, free gift-wrapping, and more.

To support the GLF, just mention “Geneva Library Foundation” at the checkout and a portion of the proceeds from your transaction will be donated to the GLF to support the Geneva Public Library. It doesn’t end there though, pick up a coffee in the café during your visit, mention the “Geneva Library Foundation”, and a portion of those proceeds will also benefit the Library.

10 am Story time: Children of all ages are welcome to a reading of "Sleep Big Bear Sleep" written by Maureen Wright.

1 pm Story time: Come by for an afternoon reading of  "Felicity Floo Visits the Zoo" written by E.S. Redmond.

3-5 pm Face painting: Chris Stumpf of Happy Faces will be onsite to provide complimentary face painting.

4-5 pm Fiddlers on Fire Performance: and come together under the leadership and direction of Ms. Linda Duneske and Ms. Helen Bogda to form Geneva Middle School’s Fiddlers on Fire; a group of 7th and 8th graders with a love for fiddle music. This dedicated group consists of over 50 violin, viola, cello, and bass players that come together to play annually at several locations around the greater Geneva area.

5-6:30 pm Visit with Santa: - Bring your cameras for pictures with Santa!

7 pm Story time: Join us for a final magical story - "The Polar Express" written by Chris Van Allsburg.

8 pm Rockin’ Christmas Tunes: Sabrina and Kelsey Jaffer perform live Christmas Tunes to get you in the holiday spirit!

9-10 pm Free gift-wrapping: The GLF volunteers will be on hand all day providing free gift-wrapping services to help you get ready for the holidays - donations are appreciated.
