No End in Sight; Wind Chill, Hazardous Weather Advisories; 1 to 3 More Inches

Snow should be light throughout the daytime Friday, but heavier snowfall is expected by Friday evening, adding that 1 to 3 inches we mentioned earlier.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday ....

There seems to be no end in sight for the dangerously cold temperatures, wind chills, drifting snow and ice jams.

The National Weather Service Chicago has the following advisories in place:

It sounds like a broken record, but it's important not to take the cold for granted. Danger still exists for frostbite and hypothermia, so just soldier on and stay safe.

The Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Friday.

Dangerously cold wind chills will bring hazardous travel conditions late Friday morning through early Saturday.

Temperatures — not just wind chills, but temperatures — will get as low as 13 below zero overnight, with wind gusts of 10 to 15 mph, adding up to wind chills as low as 30 below zero.

Snow should be light throughout the daytime Friday, but heavier snowfall is expected by Friday evening, adding that 1 to 3 inches we mentioned earlier.
