FROSTBITE ALERT: Wind Chills Reach 20 to 30 Below Zero

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory until 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.

The National Weather Service-Chicago has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Geneva, in place until 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12.

Temperatures will fall to near or just below zero Wednesday night, and moderate northwest winds will result in wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero, the NWS said.

Frost bite and hypothermia are the dangers.

If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
