What's That Tunnel Work at Randall Near Delnor?

Drilling is about to start for the bicycle/pedestrian tunnel going under Randall Road.

The long-awaited pedstrian/bicycle path underpass of Randall Road near Delnor Hospital is gearing up, according to an article in the Kane County Chronicle.

You might have noticed some work on sidewalks and supports in the area south of Keslinger Road near South Street. That's the place where the tunnel is going to be dug, starting soon and continuing through the summer.

The tunnel will connect from South Street on the east side of Randall Road to South Street north of Randall, the Chronicle reports. A north-south bicycle path will be built on the west side of Randall to connect with existing bicycle trails on the Delnor campus.
