Traffic Alert: Signal Work Coming Jan. 31 at Kirk Road and Division Street

The city of Geneva and the Kane County Division of Transportation are alerting residents of signal work Thursday at Kirk Road and Division Street, weather permitting. Expect delays.

The city of Geneva and the Kane County Division of Transportation say signal work could delay traffic Thursday at Kirk Road and Division Street.

The city of Geneva included the message in its newsletter, and KDOT issued a press release on Jan. 25.

The signal equipment upgrades should take the better part of a work day to complete and will result in traffic signals being temporarily out of service at the intersection. KDOT says the intersection will be controlled by a four-way stop during the signal work.

"Motorists should expect long delays at this location and are encouraged to find alternative routes of travel during this time," according to Carl Schoedel, Kane County director of transportation.
