Geneva school administrators with an MBA—Meritorious Budget Award—for excellence in budget presentation.

he Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has awarded Geneva School District its Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) for excellence in budget presentation. This is the second time Geneva School District has submitted an application for and received this award.

To earn this award, the District submitted its 2012–2013 budget for a rigorous review based on stringent criteria.  The award is conferred only to school entities that have met or exceeded the Meritorious Budget Award criteria.

Receipt of this award “represents a significant achievement” by District staff and a commitment to “achieve the highest standards of school budgeting,” according to ASBO.
