Sample Ballot for March 20 Primary—Democrat, Geneva's Far West Side

If you live on Geneva's far West Side (Mill Creek, for example) and you're a Democrat, here's a sample ballot for the March 20 primary.

It's getting close to the March 20 primary. You're wondering who the heck you're going to vote for.

Well, if you live on the far West Side of Geneva and you're voting in the Democratic primary, your sample ballot will look something like what you see below.

You can view for yourself by visiting the Kane County Clerk's website, clicking on "More" under the "Elections" header on the left, then "Sample Ballot." You'll need to type in your last name, street number and street name. (Only the first word of the street name is necessary. For example: "Downing" rather than "Downing Place.")

Here's a link to the PDF for the Democratic primary ballot for Geneva's far West Side. But for your convenience, I've re-typed it below. Let me know if you see any errors or omissions.

You'll note that there are only three contested races in the Democratic primary: for the 14th District congressional nomination, the 25th District state senate nomination and the Kane County Board chairman nomination.

Editor's notes:

I included the noncontested races, just so that you wouldn't be surprised when you go to vote.

There are basically three sample ballots in Geneva, due to some unusual boundary lines that split the city. For example, most Genevans are in the Kane County Board 11th District but some are in the 12th. Some Genevans will vote for the 25th District state senator and others for the 33rd District state senator. Some vote for the 65th District state representative, others for the 49th District and still others for the 30th District.

And, of course, you can choose a primary ballot for the Republican Party, the Democratic Party or a nonpartisan ballot.
