More Election 2011 Stuff to Consider
From good stuff on Patch to other news sources, here are some links that can help you on election day.
The AP Stylebook (which is the stylebook of choice for most newspapers and Geneva Patch) has an interesting take on the style for "election day."
It's capitalized for the election that takes place the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Today's election is a consolidated election, and obviously in April, so it doesn't earn capitalization.
But it should win a place in your heart. Andre Salles of Montgomery Patch has an excellent column today on —a must read that's relevant to Kane County. Basically, he's asking readers for the under-over on election turnout. Sad truth is that 20 percent is considered good in consolidated elections like today's.
