In Their Own Words: Here's Why You Should Vote for 1st Ward Aldermanic Candidate Charles N. Brown

Chuck Brown is running against Esther Barclay and Zachary J. Ploppert for an open seat as 1st Ward Alderman.

Mary Kay and I have enjoyed supporting our wonderful town for the last 37 years in many ways. To continue that tradition, I ask for your vote as 1st Ward Alderman on the Geneva City Council for four more years.

I pledge to continue my efforts to keep the city of Geneva portion of your property taxes as low as possible, to respond to your comments and suggestions rapidly, and to work to preserve our downtown business district and unique 1st Ward residential neighborhoods.

Please keep volunteering, as we will; you meet interesting people and it's what makes Geneva such a wonderful place to live.

Editor's note: Geneva Patch invited candidates in contested races for Park Board, City Council and School Board to write their own autobiographical introductions and final essays. You can read them all in the Elections 2011 tab at the top of the home page.
