Hey, It's a Holiday on Monday! (Geneva Offices Closed, Refuse Pickup Delayed a Day)
City officials and other places will not be open for business.
When Christmas falls on a Sunday, many of us get that beautiful day to recover and (hopefully) relax.
Tomorrow (Monday, Dec. 26) is the official work holiday, a day off for most folks, but of course not all.
Non-emergency city of Geneva offices are closed Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2.

The regularly scheduled Dec. 27 Geneva Committee of the Whole meeting has been canceled. But there will be a special Committee of the Whole and regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
As a reminder, refuse pickup the weeks of Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 will be delayed one day.

And, of course, live Christmas tree collection will take place on residents’ regular refuse day the weeks of Jan. 9 and Jan. 16. Residents are instructed to place trees at the curb by 7 a.m. of your regular refuse pickup day. Trees should be bare with no decorations.
