Hey! Do You Have a Photo of City Hall to Celebrate Its Centennial?

If so, attach them to this article or send them directly to City Hall!

Time to save the date at City Hall.

No, silly, not a wedding date with the justice of the peace, a birthday date for City Hall itself.

Geneva's City Hall turns 100 this year, and the celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, May 19, which is a very special day in the Nagel household because it's someone else's birthday.

Meanwhile, you can celebrate by sharing your photos of City Hall—preferrably inside City Hall.

"Of particular interest are photos of events inside City Hall such as Boy Scout meetings, community band concerts, plays, or other community events," says city Code Enforcement Officer Jim Forni in a city press release.

The city can accept both print and digital files. Send your digital file to jforni@geneva.il.us, or contact Jim Forni at (630) 232-7494 regarding your print photo. The city will scan it and return it on the spot, or you can donate the image to the city for its archives.

The deadline for photo submission is Friday, April 20.
