Happy MLK Day! What Are You Doing Today?

It's a holiday in Geneva, of course.

City offices are closed, as are Geneva schools. There is no City Council meeting tonight. It will take place at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Jan. 17, at City Hall.

How are you remembering Dr. King? 

One way is through the national MLK Day of Service. You can join the hundreds of thousands of people who serve on MLK Day and throughout the year. Find a project in your community or register your own project so that volunteers can find it. You also can find ways to volunteer, or to solicit volunteers, by clicking the "Volunteer" tab at the top of this page.

President Obama and his family are among those who are celebrating MLK Day by giving back. The Obamas plan to participate Monday in a community service project in Washington.
