Garbage Pickup Delayed Next Week Due to Fourth of July Holiday; City Offices Closed Monday

It's the usual routine for a Monday holiday—delayed brush pickup and meetings on the move. Have a happy Fourth of July!

As is the tradition and practice through the years, non-emergency city offices are closed Monday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.

And likewise, refuse pickup will be delayed by one day for the week of July 4. 

For all of the East Side and the West Side from Third Street to the Fox River, garbage collection moves from Thursday to Friday. Please check the attached map and the city of Geneva website for details.

For the West Side and Far West Side of Geneva, pickup moves from Friday to Saturday this week only.

The bad news is, you'll also be . All stickers purchased as of July 1 cost $3.05.

The City Council meeting is delayed a day, as well. It will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at City Hall Council Chambers, 109 James St.

The Cultural Arts Commission will hold its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at City Hall Council Chambers, 109 James St.
