City of Geneva Plan Commission Meeting

The Geneva Plan Commission meets at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at City Hall Council Chambers, 109 James St.

The Plan Commission is an advisory board that reviews site plans and conducts public hearings. The commission examines and makes recommendations to the City Council on development proposals, changes in zoning ordinances or other items of business that come to the attention of the city Planning Department.

4. Public Hearings: 

a. St. Charles Bank — Request for Special Use to allow a drive-through bankng facility in the B2 Business District and a request for a Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to reduce the required number of stacking spaces per drive-through lane from five spaces to three spaces.

Location: 502-514 W. State St. and 12 S. Fifth St.

Applicant: Thomas Hansen of St. Charles Bank & Trust Co.

 

b. Ross Dress for Less — Request to amend the Randall Square Planned Unit Development to allow single-tenant freestanding buildings in excess of 24,000 square feet to place wall signs on all four sides of the building.

Location: 1660 S. Randall Road

Applicant: Don Campbell of Fox Valley Signs, on behalf of KIN Properties, Inc. 

c. Peacock Engineering — Requests for Site Plan Review, a Final Plat of Subdivision and an amendment to the Geneva Business Park Planned Unit Development to allow for a 163,000-swuare-foot addition to the south side of the existing Peacock Engineering building.

Location: 18800 Averill Road

Applicant: Wilfrid Freve of Duke Realty
