Memorial Day Ceremony at Kane County Government Center

At 3 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2012, the Kane County Veterans Assistance Commission will be conducting a Memorial Day Ceremony at the County Veterans Memorial located at the Kane County Government Center, 719 South Batavia Ave. in Geneva, Illinois on the front grounds of Building A.

This ceremony will honor Fallen Heroes Christopher Alexander Patterson of North Aurora and Alex Martinez of Elgin as they will be enshrined on the Wall of Honor, to recognize and thank their families who bear the burden of their ultimate sacrifice.

The guest speaker will be Ty Simmons, a U.S. Army retired helicopter pilot who served in Vietnam and Iraq, and a Silver Star recipient.

If you are unable to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony please take time to remember and honor the legacy of all who have served in the Armed Forces, who have defended this nation so that we the people, can live in a society that cherishes and preserves freedom, justice, and democracy.
Handicap parking and shuttle service will be available.
