Kane County Board
The Kane County Board holds its meeting at the Kane County Government Center in Geneva.
The board is comprised of 26 members, each representing a district of the county. Board members have four-year terms, and half the members are elected every two years. The chairman of the board is elected by the voters for a four-year term.
The board's primary function is to establish budgets, levy taxes and set policy. The County Board adopts ordinances and rules pertaining to the management and business of the county departments.

The board meets at 9:45 am on the second Tuesday of the month, usually immediately following the Kane County Forest Preserve Commission.
